IT movie - story, cast, reviews

Film: IT Cast: Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Nicholas Hamilton, Bill Skarskgard Director: Andy Muschietti This terrifying new movie adaptation of Stephen King’s novel after 1990’s made-for-TV series about unsolved child murders shouldn’t be missed except by those with an aversion to clowns like music impresario Simon Cowell. Like many of King’s books (most notably Carrie) IT is a coming-of-age story which unnerves the viewer with its visceral horror. A bunch of young hugely talented unknown actors play seven misfits aka Losers who are haunted and hunted by hate-filled bullies and the titular antagonist (Bill Skarsgard). This entity represents the sum of all the youngsters (and our) fears. The opposite of love is Fear as Evil/IT well knows and exploits. Fear disrupts, destroys and sucks at the resolve in our souls. IT, the film judiciously juxtaposes supernatural evil with real life horrors. The

US airlines scramble to evacuate residents ahead of Hurricane Irma

Airlines were racing against the clock to clear as many customers as possible from the likely Florida path of Hurricane Irma, as social and political pressure mounted for carriers to play a bigger role in aiding evacuations. As the powerful storm threatened to rip through the Florida coast by Sunday, airlines ramped up the number of flights available out of south Florida airports, where operations were likely to temporarily cease through the weekend and beyond. But flights out of the area remained extremely limited. At Miami International Airport, many outbound flights were canceled, leaving residents scrambling to rebook to anywhere outside the path of the storm. American Airlines, which has one of the larger operations in south Florida, said on Thursday it had added 16 flights out of Miami, amid more than 2,400 forced cancellations through Monday. Delta Air Lines Inc said it had upsized aircraft and added flights to increase the number of available outgoing seats by 2,000. Unite

Stephen Hawking's mission to find alien life detects mystery signals

London: A mission to explore intelligent alien life in the universe has recorded some mysterious signals coming from a galaxy three billion light years away, according to an Indian-origin scientist working on the ambitious project co-founded by Stephen Hawking. Vishal Gajjar is part of the team working under the Breakthrough Listen project - set up by Hawking, one of the world's best-known scientists, and Russian billionaire Yuri Milner - to discover the truth about the universe. The latest fast radio bursts (FRBs) prove their equipment is working well and ready to pick up signs of life if they exist. "We really have no idea about where they come from," Gajjar, one of the scientists from the University of California Berkeley Research Centre, told The Daily Telegraph. He noted: "If some form of life would like to produce a signal that is detectable to another civilisation this could be a way to do it, but I don't think they are coming from intelligent civi
