World's Richest : Forbes list


Forbes has announced the names 100 richest tech billionaires in the world. For the first time, the wealth of these billionaires’ worth has moved passed the $1 trillion mark. This year Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates remained at the top of the list after facing tough competition from Amazon’s Jeff Bezos. As per Financial Times, Bezos had been the world’s wealthiest person for a brief period following a surge in the online retailer’s share price in July.



The value of Bill Gates wealth is worth $84.5 billion while Bezos wealth is slightly lower at $81.7 billion, as per the 2017 Forbes 100 Richest in Tech list. Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, comes third in the list with $69.6 billion. As per FT, Zuckerberg is almost $16 billion richer than a year ago. In just 12 months, there has been an increase of 21 per cent in the wealth of these techies.



The third and fourth biggest gainers on the list are Asian Billionaires— Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba, a Chinese online retailer, is the Asia’s richest tech billionaire with an estimated £37.4 billion fortune. Tencent CEO Ma Huateng (also known as Pony Ma) is Asia’s second richest tycoon and the third biggest dollar gainer on the tech list. His net worth increased $14.7 billion to $36.7 billion, as per Forbes.



Among the top 10 in the list, eight of them belong to the United States, however, the total number of US citizens in the top 100 list is 50. While from Asia there are thirty-three people. However, Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s founder, is the list’s biggest dollar loser – as much as $2.9 billion was shaved off his net worth
